A new market-rate adjustment (MRA) leaves behind Teamster brothers and sisters and pits union workers against each other. Local 623 will fight this tooth and nail.
UPS has repeatedly postponed a hearing on the split wage issue. The Union has prepared a case to ensure a fair resolution before the panel. Yet UPS management continues to avoid us.
The new split wages are already causing more problems and UPS has no plans to make these new rates permanent.
We cannot allow our members to be divided. We cannot allow UPS to tear up our Contract. On June 3rd we will make our demands heard.
WE DEMAND THAT UPS RESPECT THE CONTRACT AND PROVIDE “ONE UNIFORM HOURLY RATE.”
WE DEMAND A $19/HOUR WAGE FOR ALL WORKERS CURRENTLY MAKING LESS THAN $19/HOUR.
WE DEMAND THAT THESE WAGES BE PERMANENT FOR THE LIFE OF THE CONTRACT
