If you do not have a preferred charity that you plan to donate to please make sure you check the box for the "William J. Cooke Memorial Scholarship Fund" so your donation goes to Teamster families.

NOTICE: Election of Delegates Plan for 2021 International Convention

Teamsters Local 623 is entitled to elect 4 delegates and has chosen to elect 4 alternates to the June 2021 IBT International Convention. The below notice shows the approval of the election plan as organized by Secretary-Treasurer Richard Hooker Jr. and summarizes the plan for members. This notice will also be posted on all union bulletin boards.

Security Threat Assessment (STA) Info

What YOU need to know about Security Threat Assessment (STA). Your STA is how your UPS badge stays valid and active. Starting this year your STA is only good for five (5) years. If your badge gets turned off due to the STA, you will need to be on escort status and need to get signed in every shift.

 

9.5 Grievances PAY

9.5 violations are out of control at UPS. Teamsters 623 members are fighting back. Members are winning 9.5 grievances and getting paid when the Company violates our 9.5 rights.

Greyhound Tentative Agreement 2020-2023

Teamsters Local 623 Negotiating Committee reached a tentative agreement with The Company late last week. Read about the new protections won! 

 

Unions Call for Emergency Health Care Measures!

Over 25 areas labor leaders, representing their unions and federations, sent a series of letters to Philadelphia area Congressional representatives urging them to expand health insurance coverage to all Americans during the pandemic.

Union leaders urged Representatives Dwight Evans, Madeleine Dean, and Mary-Gay Scanlon to co-sponsor the Health Care Emergency Guarantee Act and requested meetings with each. Click through to read the letter sent to Representative Evans.
